Bladder Control.

Urinary incontinence (bladder leaks), overactive bladder syndrome (feeling the urge ALL the time) and nocturia (getting up multiple times at night to pee) can be affected by pelvic floor dysfunction, bladder habits, and lifestyle habits. Addressing bladder control can consist of addressing underlying pelvic floor dysfunction, analyzing and adjusting fluid intake, and an individualized bladder retraining routine.

Pain with Intimacy.

Dyspareunia (pain associated with intercourse, but also pain with diva cup or tampon use) can be caused by increased tension in the pelvic floor, skin sensitivities, scarring, and a sensitized nervous system. This can often be addressed with an individualized pelvic floor downtraining program, skincare and scar care, and desensitizing the central nervous system.

Perinatal Care.

Individualized pelvic floor muscle training is the gold standard of care both during and after pregnancy. Appropriate pelvic floor training (NOT just kegels), has been shown to aid with pregnancy-related low back/hip pain, reduce the risk of tearing, shorter labour periods, reduce the risk of urinary symptoms pre/postpartum and help with recovery postpartum. Sessions involve everything from individualized pelvic floor training, to birthing positions, to breathing techniques.

Lumbopelvic Pain.

Your pelvic floor muscles act as a support basket for your spine and your pelvis. Issues with the pelvic floor can often lead to pain in the low back, hips, and tailbone. Address underlying pelvic floor dysfunction in a dynamic and holistic individualized movement program.
